Description

Museum dedicated to the work of Constantin Brancusi

Constantin Brancusi Studio is a museum dedicated to renowned Romanian sculptor, Constantin Brancusi who lived from 1876-1957. His sculptures combined the simplistic with the sophisticated and provided a new way to look at art and sculptures. He paved the way for many modernist sculptors.

Besides exhibiting his works, the Constantin Brancusi Studio tells his story of rags to riches. Brancusi grew up a peasant in an area that was known for the tradition of woodcarving. Even as a youngster, he showed great talent for carving. He taught himself to read and write, went on to the Bucharest School of Fine Arts and quickly established himself as a talented artist.
