Honoré de Balzac, the renowned realist novelist (1799-1850), lived and worked in this beautiful three-storey spa house from 1840 to 1847, during which time he edited the entirety of his masterpiece the Comédie Humaine. Filled with memorabilia, letters, prints, and portraits, the house is the perfect spot for die-hard Balzac fans.
