The Maritime Museum, located in the western wing of the Palais de Chaillot, chronicles France's nautical history from the 17th century to the present with a stellar collection of model ships, figureheads, compasses, sextants, telescopes, and paintings. Unfortunately, it will remain closed for renovations until 2021.
